SEED Seminar Series: Creative Hiring for Small Businesses

So often resources for talent recruitment are targeted to large companies, leaving small business owners behind. Yet small companies are the largest employers of talented individuals in the United States.
On February 20, local business owners can learn how to look on recruitment sourcing as a creative activity and how to make their Web site more effective in attracting Impact Performers. Bill Humbert of RecruiterGuy.com will present a seminar geared to small companies and their quest to hire the best candidates available in a cost effective manner. Humbert’s presentation is part of the 2009 SEED Series hosted by the Small Business Education Entrepreneurial Development (SEED) Committee of the Area Chamber.

Humbert is a recruiting consultant at RecruiterGuy.com specializing in recruitment process improvement, employment branding, creative candidate sourcing and interview training and how these tie together to attract Impact Performers. Humbert has been a professional recruiter for 27 years, read more than 350,000 resumes, interviewed more than 12,000 candidates, worked more than 100 career fairs and served more than 2,800 hiring managers and executives. He also serves as the 2009 president of the Iowa Senior Human Resource Association.

The seminar will take place at noon on Friday, February 20 at the Holiday Inn & Conference Center in Coralville. The cost to attend is $20 and includes lunch.
