Lundell and Kaeding discuss proposed Coralville franchise fee at Local Government Affairs Thursday

The City of Coralville is proposing a 1 percent franchise fee on gas and electric fees charged by MidAmerican Energy, or any other gas and electric utility service provider that may serve a Coralville residential, commercial/industrial or nonprofit user.

The Chamber's Local Government Affairs (LGA) committee will host Coralville City Council Member John Lundell and Coralville Finance Office Terry Kaeding to discuss Coralville’s interest in this fee. This event will take place at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, March 11 at the Chamber office, 325 E. Washington Street, Iowa City. All Chamber members are welcome to attend.
