Governor Culver to Discuss Jobs, Infrastructure, Recovery Plans Today in Eastern Iowa

DES MOINES – Governor Chet Culver will travel to Davenport and Cedar Rapids today to discuss initiatives outlined  during his Condition of the State Address. 
 
In his annual address to a joint session of the Iowa General Assembly, the Governor proposed a new $700 million to create jobs and address the state's infrastructure needs with no increase in taxes. The Governor also proposed a $43 million disaster recovery package funded through the state's emergency cash reserves.
