Blue Zones author to keynote Chamber Annual Banquet Feb. 2

Dan Buettner is a world-renowned explorer, writer for National Geographic and New York
Times best-selling author on longevity and happiness. He assembled a team of researchers
to seek out “hotspots of human health and vitality,” which he calls Blue Zones.

Friendly Chamber team seeks Director of Finance

Friendly, energetic Chamber of Commerce team seeks a Director of Finance. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Financial Operations - Process payments and deposits; accounts payable and receivable; event and sponsorship invoicing; payroll; state and federal sales and withholding taxes. Assist with collections. Lead the construction of the annual budget.
  • Human Resources - Process hiring and termination documents, coordinate and administer employee benefits plans.
  • Reporting & Controls - Coordinate annual financial review with CPA firm, construct monthly financial reports, assist staff with budgetary planning requests, monitor expenses and propose potential cost-saving measures, monitor cash flow and budget progress.
  • Additional Administrative - Board secretary, office technology.

Previous accounting and finance experience is required. The position is full-time and benefits include health, dental, life and disability insurance and paid time off. Host of the Month: Corridor Radiology

Phase one of the Coral West Health Center is now open in Coralville. In addition to Westside Imaging’s name change to Corridor Radiology, the move means many other exciting changes as well. Corridor Radiology now offers MRI, CT, Digital Mammography, Bone Densitometry, 3D/4D Ultrasound and General X-Ray exams - and we are fully integrated with our sister clinic, Muscatine Radiology in Muscatine, IA. Our new location is easy to access just off Highway 965 in Coralville (just west of the Heartland Drive Walgreen’s). It offers ample, free parking and comfortable, spacious reception space, exam/changing rooms.
