Hopping a train from the home of the Hawkeyes to the Windy City isn’t a distant idea anymore. The Area Chamber is working on the railroad and we want your help in making Amtrak passenger train service connecting Iowa City to Chicago a reality.

Get on board at a community information meeting at 4:30 p.m. today (March 12) at the Area Chamber office, 325 East Washington Street, Iowa City. All are invited to attend!

Hear details of the proposed rail line route and depot, ridership, cost and timeline of the project.
