The Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce is actively lobbying for passenger railroad service from Iowa City to Chicago via the Quad Cities. Iowa City Rail also supports extended service from Iowa City to Des Moines and Council Bluffs/ Omaha. Our vision is a passenger rail network that connects Iowans to each other and the country and makes Iowa a more attractive place to live, work, and visit.
